(Wo)men.no.pause is my forward-thinking philosophy and approach to menopause. In Western medicine and American daily life, menopause has long been a taboo and little-discussed topic. What happens to our bodies after a certain age is considered negative and shameful. There’s an implication that our lives stop evolving and start declining — that we’re eternally paused by our lack of ability to bear children. I want to flip the dialogue for my clients as well as for myself (I’m in perimenopause!), which is why I’ve turned to my heritage and culture for inspiration.
